Senior Project Manager - Process Automation Projects

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead medium to complex industrial automation projects across Poland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, including project execution, schedule, budget, profitability (P&L), customer satisfaction, and risk management.

Projects are primarily delivered for major industrial customers in Poland, including KGHM, ORLEN, Mondi, and Stora Enso and similar grade of top enterprise industrial customer from Poland.

Projects typically involve: Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SCADA Systems, PLC Systems, Quality Control Systems (QCS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Industrial Automation and Process Control Solutions

Industries Served: Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical & Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, Metals & Mining

Responsibilities

• Manage full project delivery from handover to final acceptance.
• Own project schedule, budget, cash flow, and P&L performance.
• Lead project planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Manage customer communication and stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate engineering teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and field resources.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage contract changes, variation orders, and project reporting.
• Support sales team during opportunity development / project sales stage. 
• Follow internal and external quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of project management experience in industrial automation, process control, or EPC environments.
• Proven experience managing medium to large projects with full commercial responsibility.
• Strong discipline, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification
• TÜV Functional Safety Engineer
• Experience with Honeywell control systems and automation solutions (or ABB, Emerson, Foxboro, Yokogawa)

Tools to be used 

• Cora, SAP, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite

Travel & Languages

• 30% to 40% travel depending on project portfolio.
• Projects are primarily located within Poland.
• Occasional international travel may be required.
• Native-level Polish language proficiency is mandatory. 
• Professional working proficiency in English is required. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Polish and English. 
• Citizen of Poland.
