Your tasks

  • Provide safety leadership for the offshore HUC campaign.  Daily walkdowns of the work.  Daily engagement with the workforce.  Take part in daily tool box talks with the construction crew and weekly offshore safety meetings.  Develop safety initiatives with EPC-1 contractor.  Comply with all HSSE requirements of the project, company and legal requirements of working in Romania.
  • Act as the primary I&T commissioning focal point offshore.
  • Supervise and coordinate I&T commissioning activities with EPC-1 contractor, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure alignment with the overall commissioning execution plan and system handover strategy.
  • Review and endorse I&T commissioning test procedures, check sheets, and test records.
  • Ensure proper energization procedures are followed, including LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) and isolation plans.
  • Oversee functional testing of I&T systems and assist with commissioning of major interfaces i.e. vendor packages, telecoms system, ECMS
  • Support ICSS commissioning engineers to ensure that full verification of the SIF loops are demonstrated along with the third parties via Function Safety Assessment stage 3.
  • Ensure that software change control is vigorously enforced in line with the Project procedure.
  • Ensure full integration testing between EPC-1 Offshore and CCR telecoms systems are undertaken.
  • Actively participate in system walkdowns, punch listing, and completion of electrical systems for handover to operations.

Your profile

  •  Education: BEng or equivalent, and Chartered Engineer or relevant extensive experience in a similar offshore position / mega project.
  • Medical certificate Fit for working at Height/ Fit for working on platforms
  • OPITO approved offshore medical certificate
  • BOSIET certificate (for cold climate)
  • CAEBS training
  • Relevant professional experience:  ˃ 9 years
  • Medical certificate Fit for working at Height/ Fit for working on platformsOPITO approved Offshore Medical Certificate
  • Previous experience commissioning I&T systems in the oil and gas industry with some experience offshore.
  • Working knowledge of IEC 61508, with history of implementing systems to this standards and understanding of safety lifecycle.  
  • Working knowledge of ATEX regulations.
  • Previous experience in commissioning greenfield telecoms systems, met packages, general field instrumentation and involvement in the commissioning of large complex mechanical packages on large offshore projects.
  • Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with Client and contractors at all levels.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good written communication skills.
