Senior Engineer - Product Development- Industrial Drone Systems
Location: Bengaluru / Chennai
About Our Client:
Our Client is developing industrial-grade tethered drone platforms for façade cleaning, solar panel cleaning, surveillance, industrial inspection, and future autonomous applications. We are looking for passionate builders who thrive in multidisciplinary environments and enjoy taking products from prototype to commercial deployment. Role Overview As one of the first core engineering hires, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our prototype tethered drone platform into a commercially deployable industrial product. This position offers high ownership, rapid learning, and the opportunity to shape the future engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end product development ownership.
Enhance mechanical, electrical, and tethered systems.
Lead prototype assembly, validation, and testing.
Translate customer feedback into engineering improvements.
Maintain BOM, design revisions, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with manufacturing and integration partners.
Support certifications and improve manufacturability.
Required Skills & Experience
Background in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Systems Engineering.
Experience in Drone/UAV product development and DFMEA.
Knowledge of flight mechanics, stability, payload calculations, and thrust analysis.
Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360,CATIA).
Strong understanding of drone airframe fundamentals and propulsion systems.
Hands-on prototyping and drone system integration.
Flight Controller tuning (ArduPilot). Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Experience with PX4, Cube Orange, MAVLink, Gazebo.
Exposure to computer vision systems.
Carbon fiber design and construction.
CFD/Simulation expertise.
