About this Job

Space assets and services are not fully monetized. Commercial payloads on board small satellites, like cameras, sensors, and antennas, work for less than 20% of the time spent in orbit due to limitations in small satellite buses. At Revolv Space, we are solving this problem by designing, manufacturing, and testing the next generation of critical components enabling continuous payload operations and full monetization of space assets. We start with tackling the power limitations of small satellites by providing a fail-safe and autonomous Solar Array Drive Assembly for small satellites.

To achieve this mission, we are on the lookout for anautonomous designer and a prototyping guru to fill the role of Electronics Engineer at Revolv Space. Your role will be to conduct the development and prototyping of embedded systems for space products and related ground equipment. This role puts you in close collaboration with the Head of Embedded Systems, offering a unique perspective into the workings of a fast-growing startup. It's a chance to play a crucial part in our team, where your contributions will directly shape the space systems we develop.

  • although not mandatory,experience in the space industry is highly appreciated;
  • demonstrated basic skills in microcontroller programming for prototyping purposes;
  • good knowledge of physics in the context of space engineering (effects of radiation, vacuum and thermal stresses on electronic systems);
  • good knowledge of space industry standards, in particular those referring to design, assembly, integration and testing of electronic systems;
  • ability to work independently;
  • team player;
  • fluent use of English.

What we offer:

At Revolv Space, we unlock the full potential of small satellites by designing, manufacturing, and testing next-generation mechanisms and power systems that ensure uninterrupted payload availability and maximize the monetization of space assets. Operating from Torino (Italy) and Delft (The Netherlands), we offer a family of affordable, high-performance Solar Array Drive Assemblies (SADAs) designed specifically for small satellites, supporting power ranges from 100W to 5kW. With its innovative redundancy systems and advanced sun-tracking technology, our SADAs optimize solar array exposure, doubling power generation and vastly boosting smallsat platform capabilities and mission returns. Our power generation systems are tailored to diverse small satellite missions, from Earth observation to communication and scientific research. As an agile alternative to established suppliers, we specialize in delivering reliable and cost-effective solutions with low-lead times, addressing urgent industry needs and aligning with the business models of large constellations.
