About the role:

Role Overview:

We are seeking Electronic Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join our team.

In the role of Electronic Project Lead, you will coordinate electronic design and testing activities within a dynamic matrix organization.

You will be directly involved in the design and pre-production of domestic appliances, bridging the gap between local design teams, local external design teams, and remote leadership.

Your essential duties and responsibilities are:

  • Support product project leaders in the definition of electrical specifications, starting from user/commercial requisite
  • Support testing engineers in the definition of test specifications. Review test reports
  • Technical interface between local external design teams, project team members, and remote leadership
  • Teach suppliers about Versuni design and manufacturing standards. Verify suppliers’ deliverables
  • Support manufacturing and procurement in the assessment of local suppliers, and for all HW/SW technical aspects
  • Provide support to QA, PRC (User experience) and Safety departments. Provide electronic interfaces to project and procurement teams via conference calls, design reviews, and site survey
  • Analyze mass produced domestic appliances, and all internal hardware components
  • Provide hardware (PCB layout) and/or software (firmware coding) design in case of in-house design projects

An availability to travel frequently, especially in China, including Shenzhen & Ningbo, is requested for this position.

The impact you’ll make:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (Beng) or Master’s (MSc) in Electronic Engineering
  • Over 5 years of electronic design and engineering experience, preferred if in the domestic appliances or switched mode power supply market
  • Knowledge of IH design and solid experience in IH HW development
  • Knowledge of rechargeable batteries and battery management systems
  • Knowledge of AC Universal and BLDC motors
  • Excellent communications skills, also in English
  • Ability to speak professionally directly with team members, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of analog circuits, power circuits, and discrete components
  • Deep knowledge of PCB/PCBAs manufacturing process, and design documents and procedures
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement a design from specifications

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

Hardware:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools like Altium Designer
  • Experience designing single and multilayer boards, optimizing trace routing, and defining proper stack-ups
  • Ability to route high-speed signals, manage impedance, control crosstalk, and design stable power distribution networks
  • Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Testing to minimize production errors, reduce component costs, and ensure test-point accessibility
  • EMC/EMI Mitigation: Knowledge of component placement, shielding, and grounding techniques to pass strict consumer safety and emissions certifications (e.g., CE, FCC, UL)
  • Thermal management

Software:

  • Language Proficiency: Expert-level Embedded C and C++, which are the industry standards for microcontrollers in consumer appliances
  • MCU: Hands-on experience programming 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit MCUs (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, STM32, PIC, AVR, or TI, etc.)
  • Peripherals & Communication Protocols: Ability to write drivers and configure protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, PWM, ADC, and DAC to control hardware components (motors, displays, sensors)
  • Appliance Control Algorithms: Knowledge of implementing control loops (like PID controllers) for temperature regulation, motor speed control, and power management
  • Testing & Debugging Tools: Proficiency using hardware debuggers (J-Link, ST-LINK), oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and emulation tools to debug code directly on the hardware
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git or SVN for code repository management and collaboration within a matrix team
