Department: Electrical Maintenance

Employment Status: Fulltime

Salary: CI$3,654 to CI$4,750

Work Environment: Plant Area

Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building

In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island

Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area

Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area

Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

       Troubleshooting, maintenance, enhancements of CUC’s OSI SCADA ( Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition ) application used by CUC’s Central Control Room to Visualise and Operate CUC’s Generation and T&D networks. 

       Assisting in orientating CUC staff in CUC’s OSI SCADA application.   

       Assisting in systems integration of additional field devices into CUC’s OSI SCADA application.

       Working with main SCADA vendor(s) to resolve OSI SCADA application issues. 

       Responding to related technical queries from OSI SCADA system operators. 

       Fielding queries from system operations for electrical system outage diagnostic.  

       Developing regular scheduled and custom reports for system users.  

       Serving on the "On Call" list for SCADA system outages.  

       Other duties which may be assigned from time to time.  

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

       Technical Diploma in electrical, electronic, computer systems or related engineering

       Knowledge of data communications protocols, networking equipment and / or computer operating systems.

       Ability to multi task with a high degree of proficiency

       Ability to prepare technical and non-technical documentation
