Position Overview:

We are seeking aRobotics Software Test Technicianto execute hands-on testing of robotic systems and software. In this role, you willvalidatecontrol algorithms,perceptionpipelines, and software features through structured testing to ensure each software deployment improves system safety, reliability, and performance.You will work closely with robotics and software engineers toidentifyissues, document results, and help drive continuous improvements in system capability.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate a robot, followingtest protocols to verify system performance.
  • Test computer vision and perception systems, including tracking reliability across varied lighting conditions, occlusions, and edge-case environments.
  • Run manual and automated tests to ensure new software releases do not break existing functionality.
  • Create detailed bug reports including reproduction steps, logs, and environmental context.
  • Analyze test results and generate performance reports using scripting or visualization tools.
  • Track and document success/failure rates and performance metrics across test scenarios.
  • Troubleshoot issues at the hardware–software interface to help isolate root causes.

Required Technical Skills:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Test Technician working with Robotics software
  • Proficiency withLinux/Ubuntu command-line environments**.**
  • Ability to read, modify, and writePython or Bash scriptsfor testing and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical intuitionwhen diagnosing system behavior.
  • Well-versed with control loops, perception and computer vision and regression testing.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and documentation.
  • Able to work on-site in our Austin, TX location.
