About this Job

Our Mission:

At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to elevate the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost.

Our Vision:

We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future.

The Role:

Sunrise Robotics is hiring a Robotics Integration Specialist to own the physical build and operational readiness of every robotic cell in our R&D environment. This role exists because the quality of what we ship to customers starts in the lab - and we need someone who takes that personally.

In the next 6 months, you'll establish ownership over our in-office cells: building, wiring, testing, and maintaining them to a standard that lets our robotics and AI engineers move fast without being blocked by hardware. By month 12, you'll be the person who ensures every cell that leaves our facility is prepared, validated, and ready for a live production environment. You own that handoff.

This is not a desk-bound role. You'll spend your time where the work happens - on the bench, beside the cells, and coordinating the lab activity that keeps R&D moving. You'll be the connective tissue between remote engineers who need hands-on support and the physical systems they're building on.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the build, wiring, and integration of all robotic cells in the lab - from initial assembly through to a fully functional, documented state.

  • Coordinate in-office and remote work on robot cells, managing the lab calendar and ensuring cells are available and ready when engineers need them.

  • Test and validate new peripherals, sensors, and hardware subsystems before they're relied on in development or customer delivery.

  • Support remote engineers with hands-on diagnostics, testing, and physical tasks they can't execute themselves.

  • Prepare each robotic cell for customer delivery - setting it up, validating its configuration, and ensuring it meets the bar before it ships.

  • Support QA activities and internal quality checks prior to deployment.

  • Maintain tooling, test rigs, safety infrastructure, and workshop resources so the lab is always operational.

  • Document every R&D cell - its configuration, status, and history - so the team always knows what they're working with.

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven hands-on experience in robotics, automation, hardware development, or a closely related field.

  • Mechanical and electrical capability - comfortable with wiring, integration, and diagnosing hardware issues at the bench.

  • Working knowledge of Python, Linux, and ROS.

  • High degree of organisation and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to keeping systems functional and work unblocked.

  • Ability to manage multiple work streams independently without losing track of what's live, what's in progress, and what's at risk.

  • Clear, effective communication with both local and remote teams - able to translate physical realities into something engineers working remotely can act on.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience with control panels, wiring standards, and electrical plans.

  • Familiarity with pneumatics, industrial actuators, or end-of-arm tooling.

  • Background in robotic cell integration or low-volume hardware prototyping.

  • Experience managing lab environments, test stations, or equipment inventories.

  • Comfort with basic CAD, schematics, and mechanical assembly documentation.

  • Skilled at moving robots with teach pendants and controlling computers in terminal.

Why Us:

We’re building a new category of intelligent, flexible robotic automation with real deployments, real customers, and momentum across Europe.

  • High exposure: Work directly with founders and leadership on decisions that shape the company’s trajectory

  • Career acceleration: Build rare, end-to-end exposure across hardware build, system integration, and customer delivery - all within a single, fast-moving robotics company.

  • Real impact: Your work runs in live production environments at real customers. Every cell you build, validate, and ship is something you can point to - and the team around you will notice the difference you make.
