Summary

Radwell International is seeking a highly skilled Robotics Field Service Technician to join our Production team. This position combines hands-on bench repair work with customer-facing field service responsibilities, supporting industrial robotic systems and automation equipment both in-house and at customer facilities.

The ideal candidate has experience working with industrial robotics, automation systems, controls, and PLCs, and enjoys troubleshooting complex technical challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading robotic platforms, travel to customer sites, and play a direct role in helping customers minimize downtime and maximize operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform bench-level troubleshooting, repair, testing, and refurbishment of industrial robotic systems and automation equipment Travel to customer facilities to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and support robotic systems Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and other testing equipment Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and replacement of electronic and mechanical components Test and verify functionality of repaired units to ensure proper operation and reliability Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and system evaluations Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability Install replacement components and perform system reinitialization, setup, and debugging activities Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, service activities, parts usage, labor, and technical findings Order required repair components and monitor repair progress within company systems Provide technical support related to robotic system setup, installation, operation, and maintenance Assist customers with troubleshooting and technical guidance during field service visits Support emergency service requests and time-sensitive customer needs when required Follow workplace organization, cleanliness, and 5S standards Operate forklifts, cranes, or material handling equipment when necessary Communicate effectively regarding repair status, project progress, and technical concerns

What We Are Looking For

Strong understanding of industrial robotics systems and automation environments Hands-on troubleshooting experience with robotic systems, controls, drives, servos, and industrial automation equipment Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently in both field and shop environments Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety Professional appearance and customer-facing demeanor Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight and multi-site assignments Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Knowledge and Skills

Experience with robotics platforms such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Motoman, Nachi, or similar systems Working knowledge of PLC systems, programming fundamentals, and industrial controls troubleshooting Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial automation interfaces Component-level troubleshooting and electronic repair skills Strong soldering skills Strong computer proficiency Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced and time-sensitive environments

Education and Experience

High School Diploma required Associate degree or technical certification in Robotics, Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field strongly preferred 1-3 years of experience working with industrial robotics, automation systems, controls, or related technical products preferred Experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, or installing robotic systems in an industrial environment preferred Equivalent combinations of education, training, and hands-on experience will be considered Technical School Certification in a related field preferred

Compensation & Bonus

The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $34.00-$40.00 per hour.

Within the base pay range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Work Schedule

Work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break. Additional hours, weekends, travel days, and emergency service support may be required based on customer and operational needs. Employees are expected to maintain adherence to attendance and coverage expectations.

Work Environment

This position operates within both warehouse and customer-site environments. Employees work with robotic systems, industrial automation equipment, electrical controls, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements are required. Travel to customer facilities is a regular component of this role. Employees must comply with all Radwell safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
