Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talentedRoboticsField Engineer I-IV(Field-Based).

*Please note:This role requires up to 75% travel.

What you will do:

  • Perform factory testing, calibration, configuration, and safety verification to prepare systems for customer delivery.

  • Commission andvalidatesystems at customer sites, including on‑site testing, wireless communication surveys, and safety adjustments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electro‑mechanical, electrical, software, and communication issues in factory and field environments.

  • Support customer acceptance testing during factory testing and on‑site installation milestones.

  • Develop technical documentation and deliver hands‑on training to operators and customer teams.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project, and customer teams to ensure safe, reliable, andtimelysystem deployment.

  • **Level I:**Support senior field engineers with testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation while building technical and field experience.

  • **Level IV:**Serve as the on‑site technical lead, coordinating daily activities, mentoring junior engineers, and acting as the primary technical point of contact for the customer.

What you will need:

Level I:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Associate’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience

  • 7 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree

Level II:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineeringand minimum 2 years of relevant experience

  • 7 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree

Level III:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineeringand minimum 3 years of relevant experience

  • 10 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree

Level IV:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineeringand minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • 12 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree

Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot electro‑mechanical, electrical, and control systems in both factory and field environments.

  • Proficiencyreading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and system documentation.

  • Working knowledge of Windows‑based systems, device configuration, and basic networking concepts.

  • Experience with system commissioning, testing, calibration, and validation activities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical information and train end users.

  • Ability to work independently at customer sites whileremainingcollaborative, professional, and safety‑focused.
