In the pursuit of our mission, we are hiring a Robotics Coach. This individual will be responsible for supporting their team(s) success, including in the classroom. In particular, the coach will be expected to recruit a full team, coach their team to a competitive record, and ensure their team is academically successful for the whole season.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous successful coaching experience
  • Knowledge of high-quality coaching tactics and practice drills
  • CPR Certification & first aid training
  • Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, and oversee the school’s robotics program, including competitive and non-competitive teams.
  • Create a plan for seasonal and off-season activities.
  • Manage team logistics with the District’s Athletics & STEM Specialist including registration, budgeting, and transportation arrangement to competition sites.
  • Supervise and ensure safety in all robotics related activities and environments.
  • Teach and mentor in principles of robotics, engineering, programming, and design.
  • Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
