About this Job

Company Description

At Bosch, we shape the future with technologies that enrich people’s lives. Join Robert Bosch Robotics GmbH as the hands-on architect of Robotics AI within our initial Industrial Robot Skills team. Define how predictive models, reasoning, executable skills and control work together, then implement and test the critical ideas on real robots. Welcome to Bosch.

The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!

Job Description

  • As part of our team, you will turn robot use cases into measurable capability and acceptance goals, covering embodiment constraints, task success, intervention rate, cycle time, plus recovery. You make experiment and deployment readiness explicit.
  • In the expert track, you will implement and evaluate a substantial component spanning world-/video-action models, learned skills, agentic planning or code/graph policies, integrating it into a working robot system.
  • In the TPO track, you will take ownership of technical scope, backlog, and release decisions. You prioritize experiments that retire architecture, data, and embodiment risks while requiring physical evidence before accepting capability claims.
  • Additionally, you will connect model and system architecture with control-stack integration, data, simulation, and physical rollouts. You challenge interface assumptions, runtime limits, plus the transfer from benchmark to deployment.
  • You will own agreed deliverables within the nucleus team and explain the trade-offs between learned, predictive, agentic, and classical approaches. Based on failure analysis, you decide what to improve, defer, or stop.
  • Using the Agentic AI Software Factory, you will drive implementation or technical product work, verify outputs, and maintain traceability from capability requirements through experiments to release evidence.

Qualifications

  • Education: completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • direct responsibility for technically complex robotics or embodied AI delivery, with demonstrated physical-system outcomes
    • expert track: strong implementation skills with substantial robotics AI or integration contributions, supported by reproducible evaluation
    • TPO track: owned technical prioritization and acceptance decisions for an AI-enabled physical system, with in-depth understanding of architecture, data dependencies, control constraints and difficult release trade-offs
    • working knowledge of world-/video-action models, learned policies and code/graph-based execution, combined with the ability to critically evaluate rollout evidence
    • deep proficiency in at least one track; dual-track experience is optional
    • general agile coordination, backlog administration or generic AI strategy alone is insufficient
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are a technically rigorous professional who makes difficult scope decisions, challenges unsupported claims, and takes responsibility for outcomes
  • Enthusiasm: delivering robot capability through disciplined technical choices and real-world feedback
  • Languages: very good spoken and written German and English
