Job Summary:
Primary responsibility is to provide daily operational support of the automated production lines by ensuring the equipment is functioning as designed. Also responsible for troubleshooting problems and making program changes as needed. This position is also responsible for preventive and repair maintenance of all assigned automated equipment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential) Support daily production operations of all automated cells.* Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.* Make equipment and program modifications as needed and as requested by operations.* Perform preventive maintenance activities on automated equipment.* Support operations by being active and involved in daily problem solving as well as developing projects as a result of the problem solving.* Dotted line responsibility to line supervisor.* Work on other projects as assigned.*
Special Location/Position Requirements: Warehouse environment. Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and be detailed oriented.
Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.) Experience with using multiple hand tools. Robotic programming experience. Build, Maintain, Test and Repair Robotics. Background in hardware, electronics, and circuitry.
Education Requirements: Two to three years of robotic technician experience. Technical certification or technical degree a plus.
Physical / Environmental Conditions:
Normal office conditions. Office located in a two-story office building. Job demands may require long periods of sitting, telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interaction with other people. Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, driving and/or traveling.
Moderate exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and out of doors, normally indoors, with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
