The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is seeking a Research Fellow passionate about soft robotic technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manufacture bio-inspired soft robotic system with optimal structure.

  • Design and develop variable stiffness mechanism on the developed robotic systems.

  • Develop shape morphing mechanism based on pneumatic or electric actuation.

  • Perform testing and validate the performance of the developed robotic system.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong academic performance in Bachelor’s and PhD degrees

  • At least 4-year research experience in related area

  • Expertise in soft robotic design and manufacturing, variable stiffness systems, artificial muscles and related fields.

  • Strong written and communication skills, with a track record of publications in related areas
