Your next career opportunity   You will lead and contribute to cutting-edge human–robot/AIinteraction research within a dynamic computing school. You will publish in leading venues, collaborate across disciplines, and build your independent research programme. 

What you will deliver:  

  • Conduct independent research in human–robot interaction, delivering high-quality experimental outcomes and peer-reviewed publications. 

  • Develop and manage research plans, timelines, and documentation, ensuring accurate records of experiments and analyses. 

  • Contribute to teaching, supervision, and mentoring through lectures, tutorials, laboratory activities, and student research projects. 

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, strengthening the School’s human–robot/AIinteraction research profile and outputs. 

  • Participate in seminars, committees, and outreach, supporting funding bids and effective dissemination of research outcomes.

You may be a great fit if you:  

  • Hold a PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Human–Robot Interaction,Human-AIInteractionor a closely related discipline.

  • Demonstrate a strong publication record in leading HRI, robotics, or human–computer interaction conferences and journals.

  • Perform independent, innovative research while collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary teams and partnerships.

  • Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to experimental data, maintaining meticulous and reproducible research records.

  • Communicate complex research concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences through writing and presentations.

  • Manage time and priorities with minimal supervision, engaging constructively with students, colleagues, and external collaborators.
