- Familiarity with GNSS / RTK workflows, with experience using Leica systems preferred
- Willingness to occasionally support projects requiring overnight travel (typically 2–3 times per year)
Required Certifications & Eligibility:
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
A successful team member will:
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to self-manage tasks while meeting scope, schedule, and budget constraints
- Manage assigned tasks independently and communicate progress effectively in a remote team environment
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members
- Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism in all work
- Actively seek to build new technical skills and contribute to team improvement
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Geography, Engineering, or a related field, with approximately 1–3 years of experience in a project-based technical environment (or equivalent practical experience).
Work Environment: This position is primarily remote. Day-to-day work is performed on a company-provided laptop using specialized remote sensing, drafting, and data-processing software, with collaboration and coordination handled primarily through Microsoft Teams and phone communication. At times, the technician will travel—using a personal or company vehicle—to project sites to assist with or perform remote sensing data collection activities, which may be frequent depending on project needs. Visits to BSC office locations are expected to be infrequent. Reliable home internet access and a personal mobile phone capable of voice and data communication are required for day-to-day coordination and remote work.
