Responsibilities
As the senior digital hardware engineer within the product development team, you are involve in hardware development (digital, analog and mixed signal) design for Keysight test & measurement instrument. Design activities involving in microprocessor and microcontroller base system design, industrial standard bus (PCI-E, USB, LAN, etc) and local bus (SPI, I2C, etc) design. You are expected to have knowledge in using CPLD and FPGA design and involving in high speed digital logic design. In addition, the power supplies and analog circuit design and troubleshooting knowledge are advantages for the job. You are required to work closely with software (application and embedded) engineers within the development team to define and optimize the hardware system design to maximize the performance and quality with minimum cost.
Typical activities require for this job are
- Knowledge in understanding customer applications and provide optimum instrument hardware design.
- Good multi-disciplines (HW, SW, FW) development knowledge and responsible to design and lead the development team in developing the overall instrument system.
- Conduct investigation and feasibility study during the early stage of PLC.
- Develop and define instrument system architecture according to product specifications and scopes.
- Conduct design verification, component selection/evaluation.
- Develop hardware design document to promote consistent design practices and process.
- Promote good design practice and optimize reusable design block.
- Establish, refine and improve hardware design process.
- Understand software management system and practice proper documentation revision control
Qualifications
- Master/Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
- Understanding and experience in whole product development cycle.
- Good experience in hardware and software system integration.
- Knowledge in embedded system design and operation.
- Experience in using FGPA design tool such as Modelsim and QuestaSim, Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus.
- Good organizational, planning and communication skills; and ability to work in a team
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Minimum 5 years of design experience
