Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to set up and execute tests for different products in accordance with standard testing methodologies and requirements. Each day, you will perform your tasks or activities using skills and techniques as well as a practical understanding of concepts used in the field of technology. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results.

The work model for the role is:  

This role is contributing to the R&D Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Mechanical assembly of prototypes
• Adaptation of experimental components for R&D
• Installation of new components in prototype developments
• Work with low  and medium voltage equipment in the prototype phase (Not energized equipment)
• Physical preparation of prototypes for subsequent testing by the ABB team

Qualifications for the role

• Technical Career Certificate or Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Control Automation, Electronic or mechatronic Engineering required.
• 1+ Year experience working with electrical equipment and mechanical assembly (physical assembly)
• Electric Safety basic knowledge required
• Lean Manufacturing tools basic knowledge (8Ds, RCA, Ishikawa)
• Medium english skill desirable
