This Position reports to:

R&D Team Lead-Manager

Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

This role is contributing to the EL Smart Power business in Xiamen China

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop software and conduct functional testing for industrial devices.
  • Clarify software requirements and prepare relevant design documents.
  • Comply with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and utilize product management tools.
  • Analyze/resolve product technical issues and provide technical support

 

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development using C/C++/gdb/Bash/PHP under Linux.
  • Knowledge of Linux rootfs/grub is preferred.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, familiarity with wireshark/iptables/OpenSSL.
  • Knowledge of industrial fieldbus protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPCUA is preferred.
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
