Your Role & Responsibilities 

We are looking for an innovative and experienced R&D Senior Motor Designer (f/m/d) to play a key role in the development of next-generation motor concepts in the field of linear motor systems. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with a passion for innovation and a strong focus on industrialization and series readiness. Working in cross-functional international teams, you will make a significant contribution to our technological leadership and competitiveness.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. 

The work model for the role is: onsite with 10 home office days a month 

  • Drive innovation from concept to series production Independently design and develop innovative linear motor concepts and validate your solutions using state-of-the-art FEM/CFD simulations and digital twin methodologies.
  • Balance technical performance and cost efficiency Apply design-to-cost principles to optimize both product quality and efficiency, while ensuring robust and reliable solutions through FMEA and DVP methods.
  • Turn ideas into manufacturable solutions Collaborate closely with procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure that new materials and concepts can be implemented efficiently and are suitable for industrial production (DFM/DFA).
  • Work across disciplines and functions Act as a key technical contributor, partnering closely with experts in power electronics, firmware, and software within globally distributed cross-functional teams.

What it takes to Run what runs the world 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a university or university of applied sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and validation of motors or electromagnetic components
  • Good expertise in FEM/CFD simulation, ideally with ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, or COMSOL
  • Solid know-how in winding technology, magnet design, tolerance management, and design for manufacturing/assembly (DFM/DFA)
  • Practical experience with quality methods such as FMEA and DVP, as well as industrial product development processes
  • Good working knowledge of CAD systems such as CATIA, Creo, or SolidWorks, as well as PLM platforms and relevant IEC/ISO standards
  • Very good German and English skills
  • A collaborative mindset, eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude

Austria: The minimum compensation, in accordance with the electrical and electronics industry collective agreement, is € 4.472,11 - 4.905,47 monthly for a full-time position as of May 2026. But we would be pleased to speak in person about your compensation package in relation to your qualifications and experience!
