Responsibilities

Join the Mlaga team that takes world-leading Keysight electronic products from wild ideas to proof of concept. This internship sits at thecrossroadof 3D environments, engineering simulation, and AI-driven research, within the 5G & 6G Research Labs in Mlaga, home to a young and dynamic team. A formal background in computer science or telecommunications isnot mandatory. Candidates without a technical background are very welcome, provided they have experience withBlender or similar 3D tools.

We are offering an internship position focused on creating and experimenting with 3D environments, including cities, buildings, and interactive scenes, using tools such as Blender and Unity. These environments are used to build and enrich Digital Twin frameworks that support the analysis of telecommunications networks and AI-based performance improvements.

You will contribute to the creation, adaptation, and optimization of 3D assets used in research andexperimentation, andmay help automate 3D workflows or integrate models into interactive environments.

Qualifications

We are open to two main types of profiles:

  • Design-oriented profiles, with strong skills in 3D modeling and content creation, capable of building or adapting 3D cities, buildings, and environments using tools such as Blender,CloudCompare, or MeshLab.

  • Technical profiles, with a background in computer science, computer games, IT, or telecommunications engineering, interested in working with 3D environments, simulation, and AI.

Desired Skills and Interests

  • Familiarity withBlender, Unity, or other 3D tools (e.g., Unreal Engine, Maya, 3ds Max)

  • Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python) is a plus but notrequired

  • Experience with VR or immersive environments is a plus, as some workflows may include interactive or VR-based exploration.

  • Experience may come fromacademic projects, personal projects, or hobbies(e.g., game development, 3D art, modding)

This internship is ideal for candidates interested in bridging 3D content creation with engineering/programming, whether their background is primarily artistic or technical.

Theamountsof hours you work with us is flexible andtakeinto accountyour study requirements for a period of at least 6 months.

The project you work on will be part of an existing team project where you can cooperate with experienced engineers from Spain. The work canbe alsocombined with your Bachelor or Master thesis projects as part of your education.

We are looking for an enthusiast Bachelor or Master level student candidate, fluent in English (written and oral) with a passion to work on advanced test and measurement challenges.

AsfutureTelecom, Software or AI/ML engineer you would like to apply the knowledge you have gathered in your education in real conditions. You are interested in looking into test methodologies problems.

You must be studying in one of the local Malagafacultytobetakeninto accountfor this position. There is no relocation package or support for relocation as part of this position.
