What We Do:
The Operational Technology Division is responsible for the engineering design and execution activities for SCADA, network, and controls on utility scale PV and Battery Storage power plants. There are four major systems that this team is responsible for delivering, Plant Controls, SCADA, Field Instrumentation, and IT systems.
Position Summary:
Be the technical lead for a team in identifying customer requirements, analyzing, and evaluating multiple solutions, developing functional and physical architecture, verifying, and validating high-complexity systems. This position will assign tasks to junior engineers and technicians to achieve the designs. In this position, you will work on the project from kickoff to customer handover and will be supported by the design, development, and commissioning teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and/or self-perform the execution of engineering activities.
Work with Engineering Manager and Project Managers to manage internal and external capacity to meet project milestones. Requests and evaluates engineering services proposals.
Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify, investigate, and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.
Manage and control the generation, issuance, resolution, and close-out of requests for information, technical inquiry forms, and transmittals/submittals.
Participate in preparing proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans, engineering/project cost estimates, and schedules.
Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments within the local office.
Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members.
Provide short-term field support during construction.
Any other actions required by management.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical degree.
Three years minimum of engineering experience performing development of solar projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with AutoCAD.
Project management experience is a plus
Compensation And Benefits
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range, individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher), dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The salary range for this position is $110,000- $125,000
