Qualifications
What Youll Do
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated processing and packaging systems, including sensors and control networks.
Monitor and support daily production automation to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on automation equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
Support installation and commissioning of new automated equipment and system upgrades.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and maintenance records.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing automation projects.
Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and operational standards.
What Were Looking For
High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or Associate degree preferred.
2+ years of hands-on experience with automation and controls in a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, PanelView HMIs, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus).
Strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, and ability to learn quickly.
Knowledge of PLC programming, industrial communication networks, and control systems.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work in hot, cold, dusty, or humid food production environments.
Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on production demands.
Wear required PPE at all times.
