The Product Manager is responsible for the Value SCADA roadmap and will own the product lifecycle and strategic roadmap for Value SCADA solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and driving commercial success.
This role reports to Christopher Sandusky, Director of Automation Solutions Product & Lifecycle Management, within the Hardware Solutions Group. The position is an on‑site role, based either at the Harbourgate facility in Portsmouth, UK, or in Uppsala, Sweden.
What you will do:
Own and drive the Value SCADA product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy, customer needs, and governance processes.
Lead market and customer insight activities, including Voice of Customer, competitive analysis, market sizing, and pricing assessments, to inform product direction and positioning.
Translate market and customer requirements into clear, actionable user stories and functional specifications for engineering and development teams.
Collaborate cross‑functionally and with external hardware partners to deliver integrated solutions, support successful product launches, and enable revenue growth.
Represent the product externally, engaging with customers, supporting pre‑sales activities, and staying current on industry trends, innovation, and competitor activity.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with an MBA being a plus
10+ years of experience, either in SCADA/industrial automation technologies or in biologics, PD, or clinical environments, with strong technical aptitude and a solid understanding of automation technology and its overall architecture.
Strong product management expertise, business case development, market analysis, NPI, roadmap development, requirements definition, and lifecycle management.
Proven innovation skills with the ability to develop and execute new ideas through collaboration.
Demonstrated commercial capabilities and presentation skills for internal and external customers
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel 20%, overnight, and internationally
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 10kg
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
A proven ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external customers
Good understanding of Cytiva bioprocess automation offerings, intended use and process capability
