Team overview:

A role in the Ops Strategy, Product & Innovation (SPI) organization means creating industry leading intelligence solutions to drive best in class omni-channel guest experiences. The Availability & Eligibility team powers the intelligent decisioning engine behind Target’s digital commerce, maximizing sales and guest confidence by delivering real-time inventory availability and transparent purchasing options across all channels. Our team builds the scalable platforms and risk models that enable digital assortment parity, ensuring every guest sees the right product, at the right time, with clear and actionable delivery promises. In this role, you will manage the foundational Eligibility Platform and rules engine to achieve digital assortment parity, defining the logic that determines purchasability for complex item types across specific fulfillment channels. Additionally, you will partner with Digital teams on the "transparency experience," delivering contextual messaging that explains purchasing restrictions to guests, ensuring they clearly understand their buying options.

As a Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help you prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

You will be the “voice of the product” with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and you will be responsible for maintaining and refining the product backlog (e.g., creating user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction.

About you:

  • Four-year college degreeor equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of Product Management in retailor equivalent domain experience.

  • Technical Aptitude:Strong ability to partner with engineering teams to define complex requirements. Experience managing technical platforms or backend services (APIs) is highly preferred.

  • Complex Problem Solving:Demonstrated ability to break down complex business rules into scalable solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Proven track record of managing stakeholders across different functions. Must be comfortable bridging the gap between business partners and product/engineering teams.

  • Data Literacy:Ability to use data to validate opportunities and measure the impact of solutions.

  • Clear Communication:Exceptional skill in translating complex backend constraints into simple, transparent explanations for the user.

  • Agile Experience:Experience driving daily scrum execution, backlog grooming, and sprint planning with engineering teams.
