Our Core Expertise: Functional Lightweighting, Fiber-Reinforced Plastics (Composites), and Simulation-Driven Multi-Material Design for Automotive, Aerospace, and Robotics.
Tasks
As a Product Development Engineer in Nagoya, you will lead the functional and structural multi-material system design for future Robotics and E-Mobility applications from concept to series production.
- Design Engineering: Lead concept, detailed, and prototype design utilizing CAD (CATIA) and CAE simulation data.
- Project Quality Management: Translate customer requirements into actionable work packages. Manage project schedules (MS Project), milestones, budgets, and lead Design Reviews, DFMEA, and PFMEA activities.
- Global Collaboration: Act as the technical bridge between local Japanese key accounts and the global FE engineering teams in Germany, China, and the US.
- Testing Validation: Coordinate prototype manufacturing, material testing, and product validation.
Requirements
Education Experience:
- Degree: Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Materials Science, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: 3+ years of industry experience in Materials/Manufacturing, 3+ years in managing development projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in CAD (CATIA) and a strong understanding of CAE simulation and product development.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing methods (Forming, Trimming, Joining/Fastening, Assembly) and Bill of Process (BoP).
- Strong understanding of automotive/mobility regulatory frameworks and Sub-system Technical Specifications.
Languages:
- Japanese: Native / Fluent (Business level required for client communication in Japan).
- English: Business fluent (Required for daily collaboration with global FE teams).
- Chinese skills are a plus.
