Job Description

The Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining the plant production equipment in operation in a safe / efficient condition. He or she will install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment according to safety and keeping the original standard of the equipments by executing preventive and corrective maintenance systems and processes.

Core responsibilities:

  • Installation and de-installation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal conditions.
  • Work together with the Maintenance and Process Engineers to identify equipment improvements to increase their availability and / or productivity.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and work instructions to perform required maintenance and services.
  • Participate in continuous improvement events to improve the performance of production equipment.
  • Perform in depth root cause analysis to drive improvement to equipment and processes.
  • Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.
  • Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns.
  • Use experience and feedback from maintenance technicians to drive improvements to work instructions and operation effectiveness.
  • Work with maintenance leadership to develop efficient and effective CMMS strategy.
  • Leverage downtime data to identify and mitigate risk factors, affecting production reliability and area KPI’s.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year minimum in a technical role.
  • Advance level of PLC Programming (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
  • Advance level of HMI Programming (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
  • Advance knowledge Vision Systems (Keyence).
  • Familiar with various Motion Controllers/Actuators.
  • Robots basic understanding (Denso, ABB and Staübli).
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Problem solving and analysis.
  • Customer service.
  • Team work.
  • Technical knowledge.
  • Proactive.
  • Automation devices understand.
  • Pneumatics.
  • Hydraulics.
  • Mechanics.
  • Electricity.
  • Electronics.
