We are looking for a skilled Process Technician who enjoys solving problems, optimizing manufacturing processes, and keeping production running efficiently. In this role, you will take ownership of machine set-ups, process optimization, troubleshooting, and product quality across extrusion blow, injection blow, and blow molding equipment.

This is a hands-on technical role where your expertise directly impacts production performance, scrap reduction, and equipment reliability.

What You Will Do

Process & Production Optimization

  • Set up and start injection and blow molding machines Establish and validate molding process parameters Submit first article samples for quality approval Monitor production performance to ensure optimal cycle times and yield

Troubleshooting & Process Improvement

  • Diagnose molding defects and implement corrective actions Optimize processes to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield Make approved process adjustments to maintain validated parameters

Equipment Setup & Programming

  • Program robots and configure end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) Set up conveyors, chutes, and automation systems Calibrate color loaders and material handling systems

Systems & Documentation

  • Utilize IQMS ERP for production reporting, scrap tracking, and work orders Maintain process sheets, setup verification, and change logs Partner with Maintenance to ensure machine reliability

Safety & Operational Excellence

  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during setups and maintenance Support continuous improvement initiatives across production lines Maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with OSHA standards

What Were Looking For

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years of injection molding processing experience Experience with hydraulic and electric molding presses Strong troubleshooting ability in manufacturing environments

Preferred

  • Robot programming experience Experience with extrusion blow or injection blow molding Experience using IQMS ERP or MaintainX CMMS

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of plastic material behavior and molding processes Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, and quality standards Knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as dryers, chillers, loaders, compressors, and grinders

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, bending, walking, and reaching Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and varying temperatures
