The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University brings together the top scientific minds, intent on solving humanity’s toughest challenges through robotics.Encompassing the practical and the theoretical, we push the boundaries of collaboration to develop interdisciplinary solutions touching nearly every aspect of human life - making things safer, more efficient and more productive. We educate, mentor and empower the brightest and most ambitious roboticists to anticipate the future, and then to build the robotics we need to take us there.
The Robotics Institute is currently searching for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity if you thrive in an exciting and challenging environment.
Core responsibilities include:
Collecting and analyzing data, including periodical/literature search and utilizing specialized skills in related fields to analyze the collected data.
Conducting research experiments within the predetermined research scope and methodology of department and university.
Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies may be required depending on area and specialty.
Working on the development of planning algorithms for bimanual manipulation with physics-based simulation in the loop.
Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
Other duties as assigned.

- Doctorate degree required
