About the Role
The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for a PLC/SCADA Technician to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the IT Operations Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing efficient PLC / HMI software development and technical support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain PLC / HMI coding.
- Maintain current SCADA and other process control monitoring systems.
- Analyse business and Operational Technology problems and advise on appropriate solutions and costings.
- Define and maintain 'best practice' standards and processes.
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of Operational Technology projects.
- Maintain a proactive approach to monitoring systems and assets.
- Coordinate external third parties for implementation projects.
- Ensure annual objectives are regularly reviewed and met.
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times.
- Perform other duties as directed.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in Industrial Operational Technology.
- Demonstrated SCADA, PLC, and HMI development skills.
- Experience with Rockwell / Allen Bradley control systems.
- Ignition and FactoryTalk experience desirable.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Preparedness to work flexible hours and offsite.
