Job Description

The technical voice of JuP1 to the CoCs, strong technical support for the value streams and at the same time a guiding hand for process standards Central reference for process definitions at JuP1

  • - Close contact to international competence centers
  • - Active participation in process definition meetings at lead plants
  • - Ensure process specific standards and know-how-exchange in cross.
  • - Value stream engineering teams
  • - Improve process stability and efficiency.
  • - Coaching and knowledge deployment to the VS-engineers
  • - Support new product launches with technical knowhow.

Current production (approximately 50%)

    • • Set standards for processes and methods and confirm.
    • • Capability studies
    • • Failure cost
    • • Might be part of problem-solving teams and risk assessment teams.
    • • Organize knowledge exchange across value streams and CNs.
    • • Ensure process related knowledge exchange across production plants.
    • • Train and coach value stream engineers
    • • Initiate improvement

New project launches (approximately 30%)

    • • Support feasibility studies
    • • Technical expertise for VS-engineer for specification of equipment
    • • Networking with CoCs other plants and development
    • • Know the market for equipment and methods in area of competence.
    • • Define process road map.

Metrics

  • SpecificWill be related to process stability, cost targets and milestones.

  • IDC for Core Processes according to business plant targets

    • • Down time for core processes according to business plant targets
    • • Assure machinery technical availability.
    • • Core Process MTBF & MTTR targets according to plant targets
    • • Divisional Manufacturing directives (DMD) implementation, standardization and governance.
    • • CN Meeting attendance virtual & F2F

Qualifications

Programming of PLC's, IPC's and HMI’s, as well as special control equipment for the construction, modification and automation of special machines and equipment/devices.

  • Develop the programming and setup of PLC's, IPC's and HMI's for the start-up of automatic and semi-automatic machines.
  • Set up special equipment.
  • Elaborate offline base station programs.
  • Programming, debugging and commissioning of PLC's, HMI's and special equipment.
  • Carry out the program for the construction, modification and automation of machines and equipment/devices that are integrated into the production lines.
  • Program equipment for new projects and/or modifications.
  • Implement the connectivity of the automatic and semi-automatic machines to servers (MES).
  • Troubleshooting for connectivity and logic failures in equipment.
  • Troubleshooting of programs and automated systems.
  • Ensure the proper operation of all communications equipment of the production areas and launch of new projects.
  • Handle daily necessary PLC changes on all supported production lines according to engineering requests.
  • Key player in new projects aligned to safety, productivity, quality topics, internal defect cost & service level.
  • Validation and commissioning of machine.
  • Work in collaboration with Project Manager and cross functional teams to meet timeline.
  • Generate documents and manuals when required.
  • Strive to achieve standardization of methods and processes within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in automation, electrics or electronics.
  • Expert in PLC's Programming, preferably in Structured Text Language.
  • Interpretation of electrical design schematics for automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of Electropneumatic, Mechanics and Machinery.
  • Communication protocols (Ethercat, Profinet, Modbus, Profibus, etc)
  • Siemens PLC programmer.
  • Beckhoff PLC knowledge
  • HMI Panel programming.
  • Capable of self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills along cross functional teams.
  • Ability to manage workload of several projects concurrently.
  • Intermediate-advanced English, able to communicate with customer.
  • Willingness - availability to travel.
