We are currently seeking a Physical AI Software Engineerto join ourCustomereXperienceEngineering (CXE) team, which is part of AMDs Embedded Computing Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly strategic and important part of AMDs business, targeting the next generation of Embedded & AI technologies and tools to meet the needs of our customers.

As part of the CXE team you will act as Customer Zero,developingindustrial proof of conceptsystem solutions on our next generations ofEmbedded products. You will provide a customer perspective to influence the architecture of our next generation silicon,softwareand tools.

The successful candidate will lead the development ofEmbedded software platformsthat can enablePhysical AI systemsAI that perceives, reasons, and acts in the physical world. This role combineshandson technical depthin embedded software (C/C++,Python,Linux), systemlevel thinking, and close collaboration across hardware, software, and AI teams.

You willpart of ahighperforming team responsible forreal-time, safety-aware, resource-constrained softwarethat bridges silicon, firmware, operating systems, middleware,AIand other runtime stacks.

As a key contributor, you will work alongside a diverse and experienced design team that will enable enormous opportunities for learning and self-development.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical implementationofAI-enabledsoftwareapplicationson embedded Linux

• Lead systemlevel design decisions balancinglatency, power, memory, and performance

• Integrationand optimisationofAI/ML workloads(inference pipelines, sensor fusion, control loops) intorealtimeand embedded Linux environments

• Supportcomparative performance analysis, debugging, and rootcause analysis across the full HW/SW stack

Technical Expertise

• Experience inembedded software development, with time inC/C++and Python

• Strong experienceinembedded Linuxand modernsoftware engineering best practice

• AI DrivenSoftwareDevelopmentin Copilot, Claude Code,Cursoror similar tools

Qualifications

• Bachelors orMasters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
