About this Job

Role overview The OT Project Manager is an important function within the digital transformation in Operations to orchestrate the OT related initiatives globally and establish a continuous communication channel between global OT and local operations.

The OT Project Manager drives the implementation of OT digitalization initiatives across the organisations production sites ensuring the projects are aligned with organisations OT governance framework and supports the overall OT strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities Managing multiple OT projects including OT Security, Infrastructure, Application and Data related aspects from initiation through completion, including scope, schedule, budget and resource allocation according to defined OT Project Management templates and governance. This includes:

  • Develop detailed project plans with clear timelines, milestones, risk management, and quality controls
  • Monitor project performance, control budgets, and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Prepare regular project updates and report status to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure conflict resolution among involved parties in a constructive and efficient manner.
  • Documentation of project related activities by using defied templates

Collaboration and Stakeholder relationship management

  • Being a trusted partner for local and global stakeholders, ensuring their needs and requirements are captured and managed within project scope.
  • Working closely with OT, operations, engineering and IT teams to align project goals with business and technical requirements.
  • Liaison with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to deliver projects according to agreed specifications
  • Providing updates and OT related news to local Business by continuous communication.
  • Collecting local requirements and handling case management to provide suitable solutions and initiate new OT related projects

Additional responsibilities

  • Leading the execution of assigned OT projects with full accountability for scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Maintain project documentation, track milestones, and control project progress.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively throughout the project phases.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and vendors ensuring collaboration and alignment with objectives.
  • Facilitate change control and manage scope changes rigorously.
  • Lead post project reviews capturing lessons learned, exchanging knowledge with OT PM team.
  • Contribution actively to internal training and information sessions
  • Works together with all parties in Operations, Business IT, Regional Tech Centers, SIS and external partners.

Required Skills & Experience

OT & Industrial Knowledge

  • Industrial production environments and live operations constraints
  • Automation systems fundamentals (PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES)
  • Manufacturing and automation lifecycle milestones (FAT, SAT, I/O testing, commissioning)
  • Site operational realities, including downtime impact and change window

IT/OT Integration & Cybersecurity Knowledge

  • IT/OT architecture principles and boundary management
  • Basic OT cybersecurity concepts (network segmentation, endpoint protection, remote access models)
  • System and application dependencies (SAP, MES, infrastructure)
  • IT/OT Architecture, cybersecurity, and governance standards

Vendor & integrator Knowledge

  • Requirements definition and scope management
  • Quotation alignment with requirements
  • Deliverable validation (design reviews, readiness checks)
  • Formal change control and impact management

Governance & Project Management experience

  • Apply decision-making and escalation structures (local vs. Steering Committee
  • Define and apply readiness assessments and Go / No-Go criteria
  • Manage logs, issue tracking, and decision documentation
  • Plan projects realistically, accounting for site shutdowns and testing windows
  • Identify and mitigate OT-specific risks early
  • Execute transition to operations, establishing a clear handover and support model
