Our client is seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume manufacturing facility operating 24/7. This role is critical to ensuring maximum equipment uptime through effective troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
$7500 sign on bonus PLUS relocation. Company Result Sharing Bonus paid weekly.
Role Overview
As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a subject matter expert within a designated production area. You will diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime, while also performing scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
This position requires flexibility to work day or rotating shifts in a continuous operation environment.
Key Responsibilities
Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures
Partner with engineering teams to install, test, and commission new equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on manufacturing systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
Maintain and document work activities in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Service equipment including conveyors, pipeline systems, and industrial processing machinery
Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet)
Troubleshoot AC drives, motors, encoders, and resolvers
Calibrate instrumentation including flow, level, pressure, and temperature devices
Inspect components for wear or damage and perform equipment rebuilds as needed
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
Operate tools and equipment such as hoists, lifts, grinders, welding tools, and diagnostic devices
Observe and test running equipment to ensure proper functionality
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Strong multi-craft experience across electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems
Hands-on experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
Willingness to work day or rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with automation systems and distributed control systems (DCS)
Experience with rotating equipment, gearboxes, bearings, and conveying systems
Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols
Experience using advanced diagnostic and testing equipment
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree in Electronics, General Technology, Robotics, or a related field and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience OR
Completion of a formal apprenticeship program and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience OR
Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
