About the role

Kickmaker is looking for a Mechatronic Assembly Engineer to join its San Francisco team. This role is designed for a junior-level engineer with a mechanical background and a first experience in a robotics environment. The position is based in San Francisco relocation is required for candidates based outside the area.

Your responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate mechatronic systems combining mechanical and electronic components
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings to build prototypes and assemblies
• Contribute to concept prototyping and validation alongside project teams
• Support the programming and integration of embedded boards such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and STM32
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electronics, software) in a fast-paced project environment

What we're looking for

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Junior profiles welcome a first experience in robotics or industrial automation is a strong plus
• Comfortable with mechanical design, ideally in SolidWorks
• Curiosity for embedded development (C, Python) hands-on exposure to microcontrollers is a plus, not a requirement
• Detail-oriented, hands-on mindset and a team-first attitude
• Open to relocating to San Francisco
