Overview
AdeptHR is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Robotics Technician to support operations at a high-tech warehouse facility in Port Wentworth, GA. This role is critical to maintaining and repairing advanced material handling, conveyor, and robotic systems to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to troubleshoot automated systems in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on material handling equipment, robotics, conveyors, forklifts, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot automated packaging, robotics, and distribution systems
- Support emergency repairs and special project work as needed
- Inspect, test, and validate equipment to ensure safety and operational compliance
- Assist with installation, calibration, commissioning, and upgrades of automated systems
- Monitor system performance and recommend preventive solutions
- Utilize schematics, diagnostics tools, CMMS systems, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations teams to resolve complex issues
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Train team members on safe equipment operation and basic maintenance
- Work at elevated heights and lift up to 50 lbs while following all safety protocols

- Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
- Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
- Conveyors, robotic arms, and sortation systems
- Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) and Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRC)
- Mobile shelving systems and pallet shuttles
Work Environment
Warehouse setting
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Travel required: 0–5%
High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, robotics, or automation fields OR at least 3 years of hands-on robotics systems experience
Experience with facility maintenance, conveyor systems, forklifts, and robotics repairs
Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with PLCs and HMIs for troubleshooting (no programming required)
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
Experience using diagnostic tools and CMMS systems
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills
