What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

  • Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.
  • Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
  • Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
  • Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
  • Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
  • Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
  • Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
  • Works on special projects, as directed. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
    • Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Displays leadership characteristics.
  • Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
  • Experience with robotics or tooling design, in the nuclear industry.
  • Significant prior experience supervising teams of people and mentoring junior engineers.

Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
