This Position reports to:

Production Engineering Manager

 

As a Manufacturing Project Manager, you will lead modernization and equipment automation projects. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing improvement, replacement, and/or automation projects for production equipment. In your various assignments, you will be involved both in the technical execution and in the business justification of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate equipment replacement and automation projects, ensuring objectives for cost, quality, and schedule are achieved.

  • Estimate costs and perform analyses to justify project investments.

  • Provide technical support during equipment installation and participate in system commissioning.

  • Coordinate project implementation and start-up with production and maintenance teams.

  • Contribute to defining the strategic vision for automation and equipment replacement project planning.

  • Identify automation opportunities and stay up to date with new technologies to recommend the most suitable solutions for upcoming projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automated Production Management (GPA), or another relevant field.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in managing manufacturing projects.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative to move projects forward, and manage multiple priorities.

  • General knowledge of automated systems, robotics, PLC programming, machine safety, and other factory technologies.

  • Knowledge of steel stamping and machining processes (an asset).

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French. English is required to communicate with clients outside Quebec.
