Description
Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering, this position would be responsible for fabricating, building, and wiring electro-mechanical test fixtures for Q-Lab manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, build, and wire electro-mechanical test fixtures for Q-Lab manufacturing
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and manufacturing teams on tooling designs
- Research, recommend, and source components (timers, switches, relays, wire) needed to build custom fixtures and tools
- Electrical and controls troubleshooting of existing custom machines, fixtures, and factory equipment
- Work with facility electricians to install electrical services for manufacturing equipment
- Document designs to help CAD department complete engineering drawings
- Self-design electrical systems with little design input from engineering
Required Skills:
- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or relevant work experience
- 10+ years of work experience in electrical and or mechanical device manufacturing
- Experience with industrial wiring methods and design
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Basic fabrication and machine shop skills
Desired Skills:
- Industrial facilities electrical systems
- Laser, TIG and MIG welding skills
- Programming and operation of CNC sheet metal fabrication machinery
- Electrical PCB soldering and assembly
- PLC Programming (Click, Siemens, Campbell Scientific)
