About this Job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cygnet SCADA based in India.

As a Manufacturing Domain Specialist, you will help translate complex manufacturing processes into effective, scalable MES solutions. You’ll work closely with customers to understand operational workflows, identify business-critical KPIs, and define functional and technical requirements. Your expertise in factory automation, PLC systems, and Cygnet SCADA will be central to shaping solutions that improve manufacturing operations and visibility. You’ll collaborate with plant users, subject matter experts, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout AS-IS and TO-BE assessments. The role also involves supporting integrations across ERP, MES, and control systems and translating requirements into clear specifications. This is an opportunity to contribute to manufacturing transformation projects in a collaborative, multicultural, and technology-driven environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Understand customer manufacturing processes, operational workflows, and business needs, translating them into clear functional requirements and actionable solution objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize business-critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that support operational performance, manufacturing visibility, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply hands-on knowledge of factory automation, including PLC systems and Cygnet SCADA, to understand plant-level requirements and contribute to effective MES solution design.
  • Gather and document functional, technical, and integration requirements for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
  • Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE studies of existing MES landscapes in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, plant users, customer teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the design of interfaces and integration flows between ERP, MES, and industrial control systems, helping ensure reliable information exchange across the manufacturing environment.
  • Work closely with customer stakeholders to develop client-specific requirements and translate them into comprehensive Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Business Requirement Specifications (BRS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout solution design, development, configuration, and implementation activities, contributing domain expertise and practical manufacturing insights.
  • Troubleshoot functional and technical challenges, apply analytical problem-solving techniques, and contribute to solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing domain, with exposure to both functional and technical aspects of manufacturing environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Cygnet SCADA is essential, along with practical knowledge of factory automation and PLC-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming is required.
  • Functional understanding of manufacturing processes and areas such as Product Data Management, Shop Floor Control, Traceability, and Product Quality is preferred.
  • Basic database knowledge, particularly MSSQL, with the ability to understand and work with manufacturing-related data.
  • Technical or functional experience with Sepasoft or a similar MES platform is a valuable advantage.
  • Previous experience contributing to Design, Development, Configuration, and Implementation projects across different manufacturing industries is desirable.
  • Experience with MES-ERP integration and understanding of interfaces between enterprise and shop-floor systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate complex manufacturing and technology challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, technical teams, plant users, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within multicultural, cross-functional, and team-oriented environments.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent educational background or relevant exposure to the IT and manufacturing technology industry.

Benefits

  • Workplace: Fully remote.
  • Location: India.
  • Opportunity to work on manufacturing transformation and MES initiatives involving factory automation, SCADA, PLC, ERP, and industrial technology.
  • Exposure to complex customer environments and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, business, and technology stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of solutions that improve manufacturing visibility, efficiency, traceability, and operational performance.
  • Collaborative and multicultural working environment.
  • Opportunity to strengthen expertise across MES, manufacturing processes, automation, system integration, and industrial technology.
