Bartelt Packaging, a Pro Mach Company is looking for an experience Field Service Manager to join its team in Sarasota, Florida.
As a Field Service Manager, you will…
Be responsible for proper utilization of field service resources; oversee and manages 24-hour customer support hotline; manage field service personnel, creates trip assignments and dispatches, inform Field Service Technicians of type and location of work to be performed, prioritizes and schedule service orders based on project and customer needs; receive notification from customer when Field Service Technician is released from assignment and updates service schedule.
Collaborate with a wide variety of departments such as Sales, Engineering, Project Management and After-Market Sales to deliver world-class service.
Provide technical support for field issues requiring management involvement; review and analyze customer requests for service to prevent future malfunctions; identify patterns of machine problems at customer sites and escalates to Engineering or Technical Support; receive and route all customer calls to appropriate customer support personnel. Achieve revenue and profit targets for designated group; identify opportunities for pro-active service; aim to keep warrantee work to a minimum; strive to maximize sales volume and profits for service calls and parts sales; encourage Field Service Technicians to conduct customer parts audits; work with After-Market Sales Department to record missing, by-passed, or damaged safety devices or parts located in a customer’s plant; ensure Field Service Technicians replace or repair safety items and documents the repairs on their service reports prior to departing the customer site.
Report any customer service problems related to installation or machine design to Engineering; works closely with Engineering staff to solve chronic technical problems; work closely with Sales to gather information on customer needs and competitive equipment; document any missing or malfunctioning items which were recorded on the service reports; updates contact database.
May assist with new equipment check-out prior to shipment of machines; obtains purchase orders from customers; coordinates parts availability with After-Market Sales Department; monitor records-of-service, installations and hours required on each job; may create specific invoicing worksheets and forwards them to Accounts Receivable.

Bachelor’s in Engineering and/or at least 3-5 years related work experience in a manager capacity.
Experience in a packaging industry preferred.
Knowledge in PLC/ HMI/ Servo Controls (Allen Bradley / Siemens) or related experience
Ability to follow pneumatic schematics, wiring schematics, industrial wiring and electrical codes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communications and presentation skills, with ability to span both highly technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent prioritization skills with minimal guidance and direction, technically competent both mechanically and electrically in order to guide the Field Service Technicians.
