POSITION SUMMARY

Work in the Maintenance Department, repairing, improving and replacing. Responsibilities include; electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, dismantling, assembling, and installing, improving, and repairing of machinery, facilities, equipment, structures, utilities, and machining parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.
  • Diagnose and repair defective equipment using prints, service manuals and parts catalogs.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
  • Repair and maintain utilities and facility.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed, including other information such as time in service, parts used/needed and completion status. Communicating with other shifts as necessary, verbally or using computer templates.
  • Complete project assignments as requested with consideration to time, cost, quality constraints and expectations.
  • May work as an "on call" or "emergency call" status or on other shifts to accommodate production and departmental needs.
  • Perform duties and attend training as required for being a member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Install and repair electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.
  • Align and secure proper holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines as requested.
  • Performs job duties in a safe and appropriate manner as well as follows all work and safety rules including any specialized safety and health training.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of work area.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); and two years trade school; or one year training and two years’ experience; or four years’ experience in related field.
