Position Summary:

The Maintenance Group Lead will oversee day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, ensuring equipment uptime, safety, and reliability within our injection molding facility. This is a working leadership role that combines technical expertise with team coordination to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities and delegate tasks based on priority and technician skill sets.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding machines, automation systems, and facility equipment.
  • Monitor and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance tasks, work orders, and equipment history.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.
  • Provide technical support for projects, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with plastic injection molding.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and robotic equipment (e.g., Fanuc, Yushin) is a plus.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and lead by example
