Summary Based - East Midlands Airport Full-time permanent 2 days 2 nights, (7am - 7pm or 7pm to 7am) 4 on 4 off

The Role Responsible for the maintenaning a high level of baggage system and security screening equipment available at the East Midlands Airport. Duties include:-

To undertake duties associated with the need to move baggage in the event of baggage system stoppages. Undertake first line non-intrusive fault investigation, resets on baggage and security screening equipment. Contacting contractor helpdesk for online technical support in diagnosing faults. Undertake basic planned and reactive maintenance on the security screening equipment as directed on Maximo ensuring optimum availability and performance. Carrying out planned Pre use and cleaning tasks of the security screening equipment as directed on Maximo ensuring optimum availability and performance. Carrying  out planned cleaning tasks to the baggage system and surrounding areas. In the event of baggage system stoppages, interpret data provided by the baggage SCADA monitoring system and prioritise reactive actions in the case of multiple baggage stoppages. Responding to any queries from airport users, providing an informative, courteous, and helpful customer service Assist Maintenance engineers in baggage planned and reactive maintenance activities ensuring optimum availability and performance. Escorting contractors in pre-planned maintenance activities ensuring they work within their permit to work. Utilize corporate systems to accurately record all works carried out and ensure that all engineering and operational records are updated.

**What will make you successful **Qualified to NVQ level 2 in an associated discipline or relevant experience working on and around airport security/conveyor systems. Knowledge of Maximo or a similar maintenance recording system Good understanding of statutory maintenance requirements (Fire, Water Regs, Asbestos, HSAWA) Reasonable IT skills with prior experience of using maintenance management systems preferred.
