Maintenance Technician

This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance, troubleshoot complex program issues as well as design, implement and modify program logic for computer-controlled systems with occasional guidance and assists others. In this role, you will utilize maintenance and reliability practices to ensure all assets are maintained in safe condition while continuing to ensure the life of the equipment.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and implement logic controller programming and modify existing logic programming, as requested. Familiar with Siemens PCS7, Simatic manager, Tia Portal, CX Programmer.
• Frequently assist in the design and installation of new or upgraded equipment and machinery (ex. conduit, wiring, power distribution, machine controls, machine automation, motors, counters, lighting and heat tracing).
• Complete complex troubleshooting of machinery and automation failures including motor control devices, input sensing devices and other output devices.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the reliability of plant assets while troubleshooting machinery and automation failures as necessary.
• Independently inspect and complete maintenance on packaging equipment, processing equipment, storage systems, plant utilities and other mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma's Degree (D3) Instrumentation & Control/Electro/Electronic
• Familiar with PLC programming (Siemens PCS7, Simatic Manager, TIA Portal, CX Programmer), OPC, and Scada. Both design and troubleshooting on project scope.
• Having knowledge on IT Devices and Networking both design and troubleshooting
• Having knowledge on Process Instrumentation both design and troubleshooting
• Having knowledge and capability on Instrumentation Calibration
• Familiar with Maintenance Execution and Reporting
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Training certification of PLC, OPC, HMI
• Experience in Automation and Instrumentation min: 5 years
