Summary: Maintenance and repair of all plant equipment including but not limited to the following: Repair and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems of equipment such as injection molding machines, robotics, material handling systems and other support equipment. Repair and maintenance of building, grounds and utility systems of the plant and/or other properties. Position Duties: Inspect, diagnose and repair equipment such as injection molding machines, support equipment and building utilities. Perform preventative and reactive maintenance of equipment with minimal supervision. Coordinate with production to schedule equipment downtime for preventative maintenance. Install and repair of basic plumbing systems. Programming changes to PLCs and robotics. Essential Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Abide by all policies, procedures & work instructions including but not limited to the Employee Handbook. Execute policies, procedures & work instructions as documented within Polyfabs software system as appropriate to the position (RD106-003, QMS Training Matrix). Complete all appropriate paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner. Strong emphasis on maintaining 5S. Maintain clean and safe work area. Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Basic plumbing skills. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Ability to troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and make basic programming changes. Ability to troubleshoot robotics and make basic programming changes. Ability to utilize CAD software to make changes to equipment schematics and documentation. May be required to come in and troubleshoot/fix breakdowns on critical equipment during evenings, nights and/or weekends. All other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent required and Technical training required in the following fields: electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics. Three years hands-on maintenance experience. PLC programming training or experience. Robotics programming training or experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret various Polyfab documents, which are written in English including but not limited to operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write detailed procedures, reports, business correspondence and work and/or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from all Polyfab business partners through all available channels. Ability to document processes, procedures and process changes in English. Able to speak proficiently and coherently to various size work groups for reasons including but not limited to training, continuous improvement, etc. Ability to read and interpret highly technical drawing, diagrams and work instructions/procedures/manuals and apply data to task at hand. Mathematical Skills With or without a calculator, must be able to accurately add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate figures/amounts such as fractions, percentages or ratios. Ability to work with mathematical concepts including but not limited to statistics, geometry and/or trigonometry. Ability to apply these mathematical concepts to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to use ingenuity and logic to find and constructively communicate changes to systems. Ability to troubleshoot machine problems and find the root cause. Physical Ability Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds routinely.
