POSITION SUMMARY
A licensed Robotic Technician will be utilized to install, maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade, overhaul, and repair production robots as well as electrical and mechanical components and equipment. As part of the Operations Team, you may be required to support other team members within the service infrastructure of C.R. Plastic Products Inc. or outside contractors. This may include technical support related to process manufacturing equipment and building or manufacturing infrastructure. The focus of the position is to maintain and enhance our robot cells (Fanuc). The goal is to enhance the electrical safety for personnel and equipment while maximizing process production within the means provided and abiding by the laws of the land pertaining to Electrical Codes.

Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Perform tasks as directed within the scope of the Electrical Safety Code of Ontario.
- Perform tasks as trained by Corporate Safety Policies (i.e. lock out tag out) as well as following all other relevant safety procedures (i.e. arc flash procedures) to ensure your safety as well as the safety of co-workers.
- Utilize equipment tools, materials, and best practices to fulfill the required tasks at hand in the most effective way possible.
- Upgrade personal training accreditations to match the skill requirements necessary for the tasks at hand (i.e. man lift training).
- Maintains time, work order, material, equipment, and other electronic shop records.
- Support personnel requiring Maintenance skills to complete the tasks at hand.
- Communication skills required to provide technical assistance or provide input to keep the Electrical Service Department functioning at optimum efficiency.
- Responds to emergency situations to ensure continuity of operations.
- Utilize the Tools Provided and maintain the functionality of the tools.
- Utilize computers to generate reports, and communicate with PLC, HMI, VFD, and networks.
- Perform Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
- Debug production issues.
- Upgrade infrastructure and equipment processes.
- Protect self and others.
Education/Skills/ Experience:
- Licensed Robotic Technician with at least 2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience with power, control, and communication systems and circuits.
- Practical experience with robotic systems.
- High level of analytical ability.
- High level of interpersonal/communication skills to work effectively with others.
- Knowledge of and ability to ensure a safe industrial work environment.
- Computer skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
Working Environment and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally may maneuver up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job may include but are not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
The employee is required to work in high noise areas (ear protective equipment required at all times in plant).
The employee may be required to work at heights.
Must be able to work under pressure during production breakdowns.
Job may require long periods of concentration.
Must be willing to work some overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
