Job Description

Entry Level Maintenance Technician As an Entry Level Maintenance Technician, you will execute and improve maintenance activities on assembly lines, including inspections, monitoring, and minor repairs, while supporting production through rapid response to downtime, equipment assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.

  • Execute autonomous maintenance activities, including inspection, monitoring, and minor repairs on assembly lines
  • Respond quickly to downtime events, including troubleshooting, documentation, and escalation when necessary
  • Assess equipment conditions such as wear, leakage, corrosion, vibration, and damage, and initiate corrective actions
  • Monitor and perform changes of consumables such as grease, oil, and related materials
  • Track and improve performance metrics including FPY, reject rates, and cycle time deviations
  • Support maintenance planning activities, including preventive maintenance and documentation at GEMBA
  • Maintain accurate records of machine error codes and system data (OPRA, MTS, Shiftbook)
  • Assist with changeovers, start-ups, shutdowns, tool changes, and equipment adjustments
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and bottleneck management
  • Collaborate with team leads, maintenance, and engineering to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Participate in technical training and development programs to advance maintenance skills

Maintenance Technician As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems, while supporting manufacturing operations through equipment reliability, PLC programming, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, including inspections, oil changes, lubrication, and equipment cleaning
  • Maintain and improve the performance and precision of robotic and automated systems
  • Diagnose issues with sensors, actuators, servo drives, and control systems
  • Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, grinders, and welding tools as needed
  • Utilize diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Support and implement PLC programming updates and system improvements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to support repairs and installations
  • Monitor equipment performance and document maintenance activities and findings
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system reliability and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards

PLC Controls Technician  As a PLC Controls Technician, you will design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-controlled systems using Siemens S7 and TIA Portal, while supporting manufacturing operations through advanced diagnostics, system improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Design, program, and maintain PLC systems in accordance with corporate standards
  • Develop and support HMI applications for manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment and automation issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Modify PLC programs and interface communications with industrial devices
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with vision systems, including Cognex and Keyence
  • Troubleshoot and maintain servo drive systems, particularly Rexroth and Siemens platforms
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Support mechanical troubleshooting and assist with general maintenance tasks as needed
  • Identify programming issues and communicate findings to Controls Engineers
  • Provide feedback to Engineering on recurring issues and opportunities for system improvements
  • Maintain a proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving technical skills

Qualifications

Entry Level Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • Maintenance Technician certification or equivalent technical experience (e.g., production team lead with mechanical aptitude)
  • Experience with mechanical assembly equipment (MAE)
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and maintenance plans
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and work order management
  • Basic analytical skills to interpret data, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety and maintenance procedures

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming (Ladder Logic, STL, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Experience with servo systems, robotics, and automated equipment
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, motor wiring, and control wiring
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities

PLC Controls Technician Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming languages (IEC 61131-3), including Ladder Logic (LAD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Control Language (SCL), Statement List (STL), and GRAPH
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with electrical servicing and installations
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience troubleshooting vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
  • Experience with servo drive systems, including Rexroth and Siemens platforms
  • FAME certification or related advanced technical training
