  • Position Summary
  • CAMACO is seeking a Maintenance Controls Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume automotive production facility. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems, robotic welding cells, and industrial electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operations.
  • This position works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to quickly resolve automation-related issues and improve equipment performance.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Support robotic systems (Fanuc preferred)
  • Diagnose electrical, sensor, motor, and control circuit issues
  • Perform control panel troubleshooting and component replacement
  • Support preventive maintenance and downtime reduction initiatives
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
  • Assist with equipment startups, modifications, and upgrades
  • Document repairs and control changes accurately
  • Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years experience in industrial maintenance or automated manufacturing
  • Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills
  • Basic PLC diagnostics experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Work Environment
  • 300,000 sq ft automated automotive manufacturing facility
  • 160+ robotic welding cells
  • Stamping presses and tube mills
  • Hands-on maintenance support role
