- Position Summary
- CAMACO is seeking a Maintenance Controls Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume automotive production facility. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems, robotic welding cells, and industrial electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operations.
- This position works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to quickly resolve automation-related issues and improve equipment performance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Support robotic systems (Fanuc preferred)
- Diagnose electrical, sensor, motor, and control circuit issues
- Perform control panel troubleshooting and component replacement
- Support preventive maintenance and downtime reduction initiatives
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Assist with equipment startups, modifications, and upgrades
- Document repairs and control changes accurately
- Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years experience in industrial maintenance or automated manufacturing
- Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills
- Basic PLC diagnostics experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- 300,000 sq ft automated automotive manufacturing facility
- 160+ robotic welding cells
- Stamping presses and tube mills
- Hands-on maintenance support role
