About this Job

Who You Are

You are a hands-on technician or engineer who thrives in daily operations and enjoys working with robotics, machinery, and advanced manufacturing systems. You are organized, safety-focused, and motivated to learn new technologies, especially 3D concrete printing. You work well in a small multidisciplinary team and are comfortable coordinating with multiple technical roles during production, while also being directly involved on the floor during setup, live printing, troubleshooting, and cleanup to ensure smooth and reliable operations.

What You’ll Do

As Lead Printing Technician, you will operate and supervise day-to-day printing activities at the Aqaba Marine Park 3D Printing Center. This is a hands-on technical role that requires direct involvement in equipment operation and maintenance, mechanical adjustments, and physical work on the printer, pump, and material systems. You will work closely with the 3DCP Facility Lead and support a team of ADC technicians to execute printing operations safely, efficiently, and with consistent quality, while remaining actively involved on the floor during live print days.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Configure and operate the Vertico 3DCP system during printing campaigns.

  • Manage accelerant dosing (Challenger) station during prints.

  • Monitor extrusion quality, nozzle performance, layer alignment, and system pressures.

  • Coordinate all operational stations during printing, including materials, pump/water, and housekeeping.

  • Perform hands-on equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, live printing, troubleshooting, and end-of-shift cleaning.

  • Support routine mechanical maintenance, wear-part replacement, and system upkeep.

  • Support batching, curing, and testing activities as needed.

  • Help train and guide Materials/QC Technician, Mechanical Technician, and Facilities & Maintenance Assistant during operations.

  • Contribute to maintaining and updating SOPs and safety procedures.

  • Collect and record production data and assist with reporting.

  • Support implementation of R&D testing, print trials, and process improvements.

  • Act as the on-floor lead when the 3DCP Facility Lead is directing operations remotely or supervising off-station tasks.

Qualifications

Required

  • Technical degree or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Mechatronics, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, construction, or R&D environments.

  • Hands-on experience with machinery, robotics, pumps, automation, or industrial equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical intuition.

  • Ability to supervise technicians and coordinate activities during active production.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and documentation.

  • Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency strongly preferred.

Preferred

  • Experience with 3D concrete printing or large-scale additive manufacturing.

  • Background in concrete mixing, construction materials testing, or fabrication.

  • Familiarity with PLCs, industrial controls, or robotic systems.

  • Experience helping launch new technical facilities or programs.

What You’ll Get

  • Full-time employment with ADC, under Sperra’s technical oversight.

  • Competitive salary aligned with experience.

  • Transportation and travel included.

  • Hands-on training with Sperra’s engineering and printing teams in Aqaba.

  • Exposure to advanced marine infrastructure and emerging manufacturing technologies.

  • Career development opportunities as the facility grows.
